The shift of new age marketers towards technology
In this technology-driven world, there is hardly any time when there isn’t a buzz about something. Over the past few years, AI ie., artificial intelligence has been grabbing the interest of not only tech geeks but also business owners and marketers. With its self-learning and evolutionary nature, it has surely become an asset to people all around the world for those who know its potential!

What is AI?

Simply explained, Artificial Intelligence is a multitude of various technologies that are programmed to work collectively in an attempt to imitate human intelligence ie., comprehend, act and learn on its own. We may not realize it, but we are surrounded by AI-based technologies. The Google Assistant or Siri in our smartphones, Amazon Alexa, which we use to make our life a bit easier, self-driven cars of Tesla, chatbots, virtual travel booking agents are some of the most commonly used artificial intelligence that lurks around us.

The relationship between AI and digital marketing

With over 4.48 billion active profiles social media is constantly fighting to personalize and create meaningful experiences for consumers. AI has the potential to dramatically change the industry’s future. AI is extremely important to the $45 billion industry of social media with billions of users because of its capacity to organize enormous amounts of data, recognize photographs, introduce chatbots, and foresee cultural developments.

AI has solved some of the biggest problems of marketers which were defining, finding, and locating the correct audience. In terms of digital marketing, AI is something that uses past results to predict the future by analyzing the data properly. AI makes programmatic advertising ie., automated buying and selling, easier. Let’s take a few examples:

  • If someone searches for a shirt on google, he starts seeing similar types of shirts on the websites he visits and the social media platform he uses.
  • When we see a video on let’s say Roman Empire on Youtube, the next videos on our recommendation list are either related to the same topic or from the channel whose video we were watching.
  • If we like some reels of cats on Instagram, it shows us even more cat videos and eventually fills our feed with cats.
  • On some websites, there is an option of chatbot enabled which is meant to solve our queries through the automated and dedicated path. This path is functioned to solve any of our queries.

These examples listed above are some applications of artificial intelligence and digital marketing. Now how does AI do that? It just analyses our prior behaviour and with the help of it, AI makes certain predictions about our future actions, such as what video or song we will be interested in, what style of clothing and activities we enjoy, and so on.

How is the AI-based Digital Marketing Revolution on the rise?

We already have a clear idea of how artificial intelligence will alter the landscape of digital marketing. With marketers embracing this futuristic technology, artificial intelligence’s use in digital marketing will revolutionize the entire globe. However, AI is still at a very early stage of development and application to marketing when we compare it with other industries where it is applied more prominently and effectively. But, it is a good thing because it means there are opportunities for both the tech companies and marketers who can figure out what the stuff is and are proactive in trying to find smarter and more efficient ways to do things.

Artificial intelligence continues to advance and improve, with no signs of slowing down in the near future. Incorporating AI into your digital marketing plan will improve the consumer experience while also providing your company with the data it requires to flourish.
